Jorma and Barry in Turku
We all know what Jorma Kaukonen is able to do...but everytime he does something more...like last night in Turku. Accompanied by his excellence Barry Mitterhoff the whole concert was another triumph for Jorma and his music.
Some old classic blues, some old JA stuff and a couple of cherries from "Steady As She Goes" album. The biggest surprise was a Finnish traditional song "Don't leave". Jorma and Barry first heard this tune in Kaustinen, 2003 by a Finnish mandolin player Heikki Lahti. It suited well for both players and Jorma said that "I wish I'd have done that tune"....beautiful.
Jorma Kaukonen is like a good old whiskey - it just get better and better....and so does Jorma.
